줄거리: 이 이야기는 같은 고양이를 두고 일곱명의 사람들이 그 고양이의 주인이라고 밑는 것에서부터 시작된다. 일곱명의 외로운 인생들이다. 왜냐하면 그들의 사회적 고립은 한 동물에게 자신들의 욕구 불만, 기대감과 특성들을 강요하기 때문이다. 고양이는 이들에 따라 이름이 다르게 불려지고 대접도 다르다. 고양이는 다시 태어난 작가로 자신의 새로운 상황에 대해 나래이션을 한다. 주인을 일곱번이나 바뀐 것에 대한 이점과 그들의 진실된 일곱개의 삶을 이야기한다. 마지막에는 누구에게 돌아가느 냐가 그의 선택에 달렸다. (The story goes round seven people who believe each one of them is the owner of one and the same cat. They are seven loners who because of their social isolation impose on the animal his or her frustrations, expectancies and idiosyncrasies. On account of that they give the cat different names and treat it differently. The cat is a reborn writer who narrates his new condition. On commenting the advantages of changing owners he tells something of the daily lives of each one of them: the true “seven lives”. The narrative pushes the animal to a difficult but important decision: to choose to whom he will belong in the end.)
